Request A Band …
If you would like to request a band or an album leave a comment below and we’ll add it to the list. Please have a look at the list before submitting. When we’ve got a nice little collection we’ll turn it into a poll to see what people are interesting in seeing.
If leaving a comment is too arduous and you twit then you can message us @wentonking. Use a hashtag like #request or something like that. I don’t really understand twittering…

You guys should absolutely review “Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness” by Smashing Pumpkins

Greenslade
Magma > maybe the spinoff self-titled album Weidorje
Ash Ra Tempel > Manuel Göttsching solo stuff
Kraftwerk
Gary Numan (Tubeway Army)

Well since there’s actually an actual list now. Might as well make it official …
My list of suggestions 🙂
Marillion – Script For A Jester’s Tear
Komara – (self titled – can be downloaded from bandcamp)
Dead Can Dance – Into The Labyrinth or (live) Toward The Within
Garmarna – Vengeance ( yes- also good for staring into the pit)
Egg by Egg
Just thought of some others. While I’m not sure if you’re a fan of The Who, I’d absolutely love to see you guys review Quadrophenia. As for more artists, I’d like to see you guys review some Robert Wyatt, Steve Hackett, Roxy Music, and Brian Eno’s rock-oriented albums (Here Come The Warm Jets, Taking Tiger Mountain, Another Green World, Before And After Science).
Recommending an album how about “First Base” by Babe Ruth, quiet fun and as an added bonus one of the songs is a reworking of King Kong from Zappa.
Some new bands I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on: Tame Impala, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. If you want to step out of the Prog realm you could try The Beach Boys, Kiss or The Bonzo Dog Band.
One more suggestion.
Voodoo Soup (1995) vs First Rays of the New Rising Sun (1997)
I would advise you to set up a PO Box. Viewers will be able to send in CDs for you to review.
That’s a good idea. Although maybe we wouldn’t need a PO Box, I’d probably just get it delivered to work 🙂 I’m not sure how many people would be up for this.
Pat Metheny Group – Pat Metheny Group (1978)
Dixie Dregs – Dregs of the Earth (1980)
Carcass – Heartwork (1993)
In Flames – Whoracle (1997)
At The Gates (band) – Terminal Spirit Disease (1994)
Dark Tranquillity (band) – Skydancer (1993)
Dark Tranquillity – The Gallery (1995)
The Faceless (band) – Planetary Duality (2008)
Death (band) – Individual Thought Patterns (1993)
Nile – Annihilation of the Wicked (2005)
Dying Fetus (band) – Purification Through Violence (1996)
Elastica – Elastica (1995)
Emperor (band) – In The Nightside Eclipse (1994)
Burzum (band) – Filosofem (1996)
Requests made by you know who
Caravan
I’d like to suggest you review Kansas, 10cc, and more albums by Supertramp (preferably Breakfast In America and Brother Where You Bound).
As dull and “boring” it might be, I need to say Maiden
Van Der Graaf Generator
Thanks for the comment 🙂 Do you mean more VDG? We have already done a run! http://wenton.co.uk/category/video-reviews/van-der-graaf-generator/
If you want some specific albums, let me know and I’ll add them to the list 🙂
Sorry didn’t realize you guys had done VDG.
Might i suggest The Alan Parsons Project, Atomic Rooster, Eloy, Focus, Nektar, Traffic, Triumvirat, Wishbone Ash, Mastodon, Thin Lizzy.
Just a few 🙂
Triumvirat is a good obscure Prog band. Even though they are a ELP clone.
